Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July celebration. It’s going to be hot this weekend so stay indoors in the air conditioning and make a few Disappearing Nine Patch blocks for the next block of the month exchange. You can find the instructions here.

Don’t forget our next general meeting is Thursday, July 11th. The program will be an overview of Southern California Council of Quilt Guilds (SCCQG) given by Sonia Das. SCCQG offers many benefits to the guild members, come and learn more about them and get involved. Bring your patriotic or Christmas (in July) quilts for show and tell. The Librarians will have plenty of fabric bundles for sale and will welcome your quilting magazines 2014 and newer.

We’ll be having an open sew on Saturday, July 13th at Arbor Road Church. Come and bring those projects you resolved to complete way back in January. Get social with other QBS members and see what they’re making. There is no charge for this workshop.

There is no general meeting in August. If you’re going to the retreat at Creation Station in Beullton have a blast. We expect to hear all the stories when we meet again in September.

Have a glorious summer and stay cool!
