Ready to send a little handmade joy through the mail? Following our inspiring March meeting, it’s time to get hands-on! We are thrilled to invite all Quilters by the Sea members and guests to our upcoming March Workshop, where we’ll be mastering the art of the quilted postcard.

These aren’t just fabric scraps—they are genuine, mailable works of art. Yes, you read that right: you can drop these miniature masterpieces directly into a blue USPS mailbox and send them to friends and family across the country!

Meet Your Instructor: Signe Kaleel

We don’t have to look far for expertise! Our very own Signe Kaleel will be leading the day. Signe has perfected the “tricks of the trade” for creating sturdy, beautiful, and postal-compliant postcards.

Whether you want to experiment with raw-edge appliqué, decorative stitching, or thread painting, Signe will show you how to condense your creativity into a $4″ \times 6″$ canvas.

Workshop Highlights

  • Postal Secrets: Learn the specific stabilizers and backings required to ensure your card survives the USPS sorting machines.
  • Scrap Busting: This is the ultimate project for using up those precious “too small to throw away” fabric bits.
  • Speed Quilting: Experience the satisfaction of finishing multiple projects in a single afternoon!
